Essential business protection
To enhance and improve your business protection and IT security, TST have recently changed the RMM (Remote Management & Monitoring) app that we use to support end users. Support contract customers will have the app already installed. The app appears as a desktop shortcut called ‘Create a new support ticket’. As well as providing another way of contacting us to request help, the app provides us with information and alerts about your computer.
Having more information about your PC means that our tech support team can provide you and your business with better help. The alerts that our RMM sends to us, mean that we can investigate and resolve issues before you are aware of them. The pro-active patch management pushes security updates to your computer to make sure it is secure and up-to-date. We can’t see what is on your PC desktop or screen and other information about the user activity……the information we have access to is about your computer performance and the installed software. Your privacy is maintained and respected.
Our remote access means that we can rapidly respond to any help requests. Combined with the real time data about each system, we can diagnose and resolve most issues with the first contact. We only remotely access your computer when support is requested. A notification will appear on your screen to let you know that we are connected and the name of the support technician that is accessing your computer.
Devices that are not covered by a support contract do not have any monitoring and pro-active patching. To initiate a support session, the end user needs to open the RMM App (from the bottom right of their desktop) and select the option to ‘Connect’. This will allow a support technician to remotely access your device.
Business Protection
For Support Contract customers, Antivirus and Ransomware Protection is included. We monitor, manage and support every endpoint (computer) under contract. The behavioural analysis of files on monitored devices alerts the system to a ransomware attack. The ransomware process will be terminated and the affected device isolated to prevent the attack from spreading. Protected devices have backup recovery available which allows a full system recovery. Protection and recovery from ransomware can mean the difference between your business surviving or not……recently Carpetright found out to their cost what it means to be unprepared for a ransomware attack with the business going into administration following a cyber-attack.
The included antivirus is completely integrated into our remote monitoring, ticketing and Professional Services Automation (PSA) system. From our monitoring portal, we can see any alerts that the antivirus system flags up. The real-time scanning and automatic threat blocking ensure immediate response to any cyberthreat. Our cloud infrastructure continuously updates with the latest threat data, offering superior defence mechanisms.
