With Outlook open, click the File menu and select Account Settings > Account Settings
In the Account Settings dialogue box, select New…
In the pop up window, enter your email address, select ‘Advanced Options’ and click the box for ‘Let me set up my account manually’
Click the ‘Connect’ button
On the next screen, select the mailbox type as POP
On the next page, enter your password for your email account. If you don’t know your password, please contact TST Support.
Click the ‘Connect’ button
The settings that Outlook will try to use will probably be wrong. Select the option ‘Change Account Settings’
When the POP Account Settings dialogue box opens, change the incoming mailserver to:
mail.[domain name] (where [domain name is your full domain name e.g. for the domain tstnet.co.uk, your incoming mailserver would be mail.tstnet.co.uk)
The incoming port should be 995
Select the option for a SSL/TLS certificate.
The mailserver for the outgoing (SMTP) mailserver is the same as the incoming mailserver ie mail.[domain name].
Outgoing Mail Server SSL: STARTTTLS
The outgoing port should be 587
Click ‘Next’ and then click ‘Connect’
The email account should now connect but further changes are needed.
Click the ‘More settings’ button and a dialogue box will open.
Select the second tab ‘Outgoing Server’
Choose the option labelled ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) required authentication’ and ‘Use same settings as my incoming mail server’
Click OK
Click Finish and close any open dialogue boxes
NB: If you are unable to see the ‘More Settings’ button, close any dialogue boxes that are open, Click the File menu > Account Settings > Manage Profiles. When the dialogue box opens, click on Email Accounts. On the next dialogue box, select your email account and click ‘Change….’
