Genband is a small app that is installed on your PC that can show the status of other CloudFusion VoIP users, allow you to make calls from your PC and send text messages.  To install Genband, follow the instructions below:

  1.  Download the Genband application from here
  2. Once the download completes, double-click it to run the installer.  Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation.
  3. Open the application and click on the Menu icon (three horizontal lines on the top left of the Genband window) > select Preferences
  4. From the Preferences menu, select User.  Enter your DDI in the username window
  5. Select ‘Network’ from the left side menu and then click the ‘Edit’ button. In the ‘Domain Name’ box enter Click OK
  6. Click OK to close the Preferences menu
  7. Click the phone icon on the bottom left of the menu and you should be prompted for a password.  Enter your password and click OK
  8. The status on the top  left should show ‘Connected’ which means that you are ready to use the Genband app


Adding a contact from your own organisation:

  1. Click the Contacts menu at the bottom of the window
  2. To add a contact, click the + icon at the top right of the window (next to the search box)
  3. Add the users details – in the SIP box, enter their full SIP address which is their DDI and domain eg
  4. From the ‘Preferred Contact’ drop down menu, select SIP
  5. Click the text boxes for ‘Trusted user’ and ‘Show Availability’
  6. Click OK
