Blocking unwanted emails

Spam mail and spoof messages are irritating and time consuming to deal with.  Our smart message scanning system will filter out most of them but there may be one or two that get through. You block repeat offenders by following the instructions below:

  1. Log in to the web interface here: https://zimbra.protectedservice.net
  2. Click on the ‘Preferences’ tab
  3. From the left side menu, select ‘Mail’
  4. Scroll to the ‘Spam Mail Options’ section towards the bottom of the page
  5. Enter an address or a domain in the text box below ‘Block messages from:’ If you want to block a domain, you enter @example.com
  6. Click the ‘Add’ button
  7. Repeat as necessary to block the messages from multiple senders
  8. Click ‘Save’ at the top left of the page
